Book Conversion to e-Learning Module:

Objective: The objective was to transform the book Get the Job You Love into an interactive e-learning module, incorporating charts, diagrams, and real-world examples, along with audio and video elements. The content aimed to be engaging and easily accessible, allowing users to reference it throughout their job search journey.

Solution: The book was transformed into an engaging e-learning module using Articulate Rise, following the SAM model to create a functional prototype. I refined the user interface to ensure the content is clear and accessible, enhancing learners' retention of the material. The module allows learners to monitor their progress throughout. Each chapter incorporates integrated audio and video from the author, providing deeper insights into key concepts. Additionally, the module features interactive charts, examples, and scenario-based activities that present practical, real-world solutions. The videos were expertly edited in Final Cut Pro, while the audio was optimized using Ableton Live.

Training Module for New Sales Representatives:

Objective: Mactac's PowerPoint presentation aimed to train new salespeople on the specifics pressure sensitive adhesive tape. It contained detailed information, numerous charts, diagrams, and extensive terminology. However the complex nature and depth of the subject matter covered, made it difficult to process and understand.

Solution: To enhance understanding and retention, the micro-course content was streamlined and clarified using the ADDIE method. This was achieved through planning out the course with visual mapping, which allowed for better organization of concepts. New visuals, charts, and videos were incorporated to illustrate the concepts more clearly. Using Articulate Rise, the course was made more dynamic and interactive, with built-in quizzes to check for understanding and comprehension throughout the course.

Training Module for New Employees:

Objective: Mactac's PowerPoint presentation, designed for training new employees on the fundamentals of medical and industrial tape, contained detailed information but was presentation was very standard and basic. Solution: In order to increase engagement and understanding, the course content was streamlined and clarified using the Kirkpatrick's method. Employees commented on what the liked about the interface and animated interactions. The course was revised several times to accommodate the feedback of the users. New interactions, visuals, charts, and videos were incorporated to illustrate the concepts more clearly. Using Articulate Storyline, the course was made more dynamic and interactive, with built-in quizzes to check for understanding and comprehension at the end.

Caretaker Training for Horse Rescue:

Objective: Focus Horse Rescue needed a way to train new caretakers in a more interactive and engaging way. Training new in a more interactive and engaging way. Training new caretakers is very time consuming and there are issues with mistakes being made because something was skipped over or misread in the training paperwork. It was also a directive that the Owner would be able to check for understanding.
​Solution: I designed a site using Articulate Storyline utilizing the ADDIE method. We isolated some of the recurring issues and common mistakes that the caretakers were making. The course is designed for all ages and experience levels. The site asks about their experience level with horses and then guides them through the course based on their knowledge. The important information is presented in an interactive and engaging manner. There is a graded quiz located at the end of the course. Prospective caretakers must pass the quiz in order to work with the horses.

Multilingual and 360 Degree Microlearning Module for Landscapers:

Objective: Green Guys Grow Landscaping company needed a multilingual and voice narrated learning module for the correct application of fertilizer on specific plants.
​Solution: I designed a microsite using Articulate Storyline utilizing the ADDIE method. The microsite had to work well with iPads and phones because that is whats available of the field. The entire module can be be narrated to the individual in Spanish. There is a basic breakdown of how fertilizer is comprised and what the numbers represent. There is an 360 degree interactive event which the worker can see what types of fertilizer goes with which type of plant.

New Employee Training for Hydroponic Company:

Objective: Pindel Hydroponics faced challenges with engaging their younger employees in training materials that were exclusively presented in a binder format. They required a more effective method to assess trainee knowledge before advancing to more in-depth training sessions.​ Solution: I developed an e-learning module using Articulate Storyline, applying the ADDIE instructional design model. The module features an engaging 3D animated character, created in CreateStudios, to guide learners through the training content. The course is tailored for younger employees with minimal experience, presenting essential information in an interactive and engaging format. A graded quiz is included at the end of the module, which new employees must pass to proceed to further training or fieldwork.
